“The Rose 🌹 that Grew Through Concrete.” I see you. Oakland/Tupac

This brought tears to my eyes because I am stuck in a series of situations I haven’t been able to escape…yet! I’m happy for you. Keep writing. Keep inspiring. I’m watching.

Thank you for this comment, Karen. I never once made the comparison between Tupac and Oakland. It makes sense why I saw his mother’s flyer outside a coffee shop near me. Nor did I make the connection of the rose that grew through concrete, I was thinking of the song A Rose in Harlem but now to think of Tupac makes this experience so much more rewarding! I pray that you see new perspectives in your situations so you can feel less stuck and more open to ways to break free. Ways that will in return bring you empowerment and fulfillment. Thank you for reading, sharing, and commenting it means everything to me!

Thank you, sis! I appreciate you reading and commenting! After leaving that environment I felt like there was so much inside me that needed to be released through my words. I am proud of myself too, this was the biggest move I’ve made since being in California.

Thank you for reading and commenting, Reda. I love it here in California. We’ve been here since March 2nd and I’m excited to be a city that feels most at home. Once I can finally unpack my suitcase California will be my forever home!
