"Write from your heart, what you experienced, how it makes you feel, what you learned, and how you can use that information now to be the change you want to see." Thank you for this reminder of why we write. 🙏

A Bunch Of Think Pieces But No Thinkers,” I share the revolutionary ideology you mentioned through combating propaganda, exposing police brutality, and writing to build communities.

I have a phrase I have conceptualized. Since black people don't have traditional communities, I advocate we are the communities among one another, according to

Claud Anderson,

“Black people need a sense of community if we are going to prosper.”

In one of his great lectures Powernomics, a book by the same name, he discusses how the black communities were deliberately annihilated by the City government. For example,

“During the 50s Black communities fac systemic displacement and destruction often under the guise of urban renewal and infrastructure projects.” AI

I began to see community through the lens of black social consciousness. As you say, writers are the builders of culture and communities; we create culture.

In closing, if I didn't address all your points, I understood the gist of your message: Build our communities.

PS

Besides, we have to restore the truth under the colonial state by writing what we see. We have to create systems that will emancipate our minds from the broken colonial system.
